Media Requirements
ICAST is open to working members of the fishing, boating, and/or outdoor media who intend to produce content related to the show, the fishing industry, fisheries policy, products, and/or ICAST-related events or activities. Previous attendance does not guarantee future admission. All applications are subject to review by ICAST staff, and admission is solely at the discretion of the show. Your application will not be approved until you’ve submitted the required credentials.
If you feel you have been incorrectly denied admission, you may file an appeal by emailing icast@asafishing.org.
If you are attending the show on behalf of a company, you must apply for a badge under that company. Anyone found to misrepresent themselves or their company faces the possibility of expulsion from ICAST.

Media Editorial badges are available to the following individuals:
- Staff of ASA Media Member companies (does not include advertising sales staff).
- Writers (staff or freelance); editors; outdoor television, radio and podcast hosts; publishers of outdoor magazines or newspapers.
- Producers, videographers, photographers, designers (web or print), and support staff – Badge must be affiliated with the show/magazine/channel/paper/etc. on whose behalf you are attending. If you are attending the show as an independent contractor, please apply for a Media Sales badge.
- Content Creators: ICAST welcomes content creators to attend the show as working members of the media. Content creators are defined as any individual or company whose primary business is producing content for social media or video platforms (as opposed to publications, websites, and/or brands that have social media pages). Qualifying content creators must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Your channel(s) must clearly advance and promote recreational fishing and the sportfishing industry.
- You must have a significant following and produce regular content with high-quality production.
- Your profile is easily discoverable on major social or digital media platforms.
Valid Proof of Credentials
To receive an ICAST Media Editorial badge, applicants must submit at least two forms of credentials. ICAST reserves the right to request additional credentials to verify eligibility. Examples include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Links to or copies of relevant article(s), book(s), blog post(s), film(s), video(s), podcast(s), or other materials published within the last 12 months with your name clearly identified as the author, host, or producer.
- A copy of your current business card with your position and employer clearly displayed.
- A current year membership card for a credentialed outdoor writers or media association (AGLOW, POMA, OWAA, etc.)
- A link to relevant personal or professional websites, social media pages, podcasts or video channels.
NOT considered valid proof:
- Business licenses, tax documents, invoices, and other professional documents
- Online forums, community groups, fishing reports, and digital applications (apps)
