ICAST Week 2017 is packed with a myriad of events and a show floor filled with enough tackle, gear and accessories for anglers and boaters of all ages.
ICAST Super Tuesday
July 11, is packed with events that add to your ICAST experience including the FLW ICAST Cup – Industry Bass Fishing Tournament, the annual Florida Sportsman Bass & Birdies Classic golf tournament and the On the Water product demonstrations.
On the Water Has Moved to the Convention Center
The On the Water product demonstrations for dealers and media representatives have moved to the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) from Lake Toho. On the Water is now being held from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the North/South Concourse which is adjacent to the West Concourse. There are a series of ponds that are able to handle casting and non-motorized fishing vessels. Shuttle service is available between 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and will run every 30 minutes.
New Product Showcase Preview Reception and Awards Presentation
Sponsored by Fishing Tackle Retailer, the reception is being held Tuesday, July 11, on the show floor from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Voting for the Best of Show awards begins at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday and ends at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Only buyers and credentialed media can vote. So, please make a note of the time!
The Chairman’s Industry Awards Reception is being held Wednesday, July 12, from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in Room F2 (Tangerine Ballroom), West Hall. All ICAST and IFTD attendees are welcome to attend the awards reception held at the convention center.
Additional Show Floor Highlights
For the fifth year, the International Fly Tackle Dealer show (IFTD), the fly tackle-specific show produced by the American Fly Fishing Trade Association (AFFTA), is co-locating with ICAST on the same days with the same show hours.
In its second year, the Marine Accessories Pavilion, hosted by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) on the ICAST floor, will feature the latest in boating accessories and is a must-visit for media members, buyers, dealers, retailers and distributors seeking the newest and most innovative marine aftermarket accessories and components.
State of the Industry Breakfast
The State of the Industry Breakfast takes place just before the show floor opens on Wednesday morning, July 12. In addition to ASA’s President and CEO’s State of the Industry remarks, our keynote speaker, online marketing and customer service wizard, Jay Baer, will get people prepped to hit the show floor.
