Saltiga was designed for heavy braid and large fish from sailfish to bluefin. A unique feature is the use of Magnetic Oil, a NASA development, to provide a low-friction, water tight seal between the body and rotor. Control by a magnetic field, the Magnetic Oil changes from a liquid to a thin-membrane seal to prevent water intrusion.

Another key feature is the the new Air Rotor. Lightweight, high-density Zaion Carbon material reduces rotor weight by up to 15% while keeping rotor strength. Combined with Mag Seal, the lighter rotor means easier, smoother winding and better sensitivity.
